Based on the data on this site (http://www.neighborhoodscout.com/ma/malden/crime/), Eastern Avenue (just behind MHS) is the most dangerous neighborhood in all of Malden. Also, the annual crime rates for Malden are higher than the crime rates for Massachusetts. Additionally, the crime rates are even almost equal to those of the United States.

Just today (3/23/12), there was a bank robbery that involved shooting and there is believed to be four suspects. Unfortunately, two of the criminals are still on the loose, which means that the students are currently in danger. This site has the latest news:

3/25/12: Although all the criminals have been caught, it does not change the fact that our students will be in danger if they are alone at night and cannot get home because there are no buses.

With this enormous cluster of crimes happening around Malden High, we can not let bus 411 be the only bus available to students on weekdays. Many students need to get home and need to get home safe, if this bus is cut, we are risking the student's safety this is bus 411's route.
